Begin by approaching God and asking for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, examples to follow, commands to follow or promises to make.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.

The best thing about praying is that it can be adapted to suit your needs. Some people may only have some minutes and others could be able to devote a whole hours or longer. The key is making it a consistent part of your routine. If you fall off a day or two do not fret! You can get back on track the following day.

Another way to increase your prayer time is to create a more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God in a deeper way. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating various forms prayers into your routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This will prevent your prayer routine from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the best ways to remain engaged and focused on your prayer practice is by sharing it with other people. Find a accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will be checking in with you and help you to stick to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.

Remember, the goal of daily prayer is to increase your connection with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line to His plan. It’s not about perfectionism or adhering to the strict guidelines, but rather being intentional and consistent in your life of faith.
