Begin by addressing God, ask for his presence while you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, or guidelines to obey or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to be in God’s presence.

Another method to improve your prayer routine is to create a more engaging. Instead of simply reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. Use your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described by the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and put yourself in their shoes. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.

It is also possible to incorporate various forms in your prayer daily routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add variety to your spiritual routine.

One of the best ways to stay focused and in line with your daily prayer routine is sharing the practice with other people. Find an accountability partner, a friend or family member who will check on you regularly and help you to stick to your daily routine. They may even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.

The goal of daily prayer is to increase your connection with God and align your thoughts and actions in accordance with His plans.
