Begin by talking to God to ask for his help while you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, guidelines to obey or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your immediate needs and worries, and take time to sit in the presence of God.

The beauty of a prayer routine is that it’s customizable to meet your requirements. Many people might only have some minutes and others could have an hours or longer. The key is that you make this a regular part of your routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two do not fret! Get back on track the next day.

Use your imagination and try to picture the scenes described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and place yourself in their shoes. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating various forms of prayer into your daily routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
