This is where the creation of the habit of praying comes into. It helps us establish a structure and accountability to ensure we’re in contact with God on a a regular basis.

How do you get started? First, you must determine the time of day that is the most suitable time to pray. Some people like to start their day with prayer while others find it easier to pray in the evening before going to bed. Try it out and discover which method works best for you.

Once you’ve determined the best time to pray, you can start to build your routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayers:

Begin by approaching God, ask for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, examples to follow, commands to follow or promises to make.

Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries, and take time to be in God’s presence.

The great thing about praying is that it’s customizable to suit your needs. Many people might only have some minutes, while others may have a half an hour or more. It’s important making it a regular part of your routine. And if you miss a day or two Don’t be concerned! Get back on track the following day.

The practice of daily prayer is an excellent way to start the new year with a fresh sense of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s an effective way to start your day, putting your focus upon the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned to His plans.

Another way to increase your prayer time is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God at a deeper level. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described within the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character, and put yourself in their position. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.

It is also possible to incorporate various forms prayers into your daily routine. For example, try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even journaling your prayers. This will prevent your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide variety to your spiritual routine.

One of the most effective ways to remain motivated and on track with your prayer practice is by sharing the practice with other people. Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who can check on you regularly and help you to adhere to your schedule. They could even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.

Remember, the goal of daily prayer is to strengthen your relationship with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line with His will. It’s not about perfection or adhering to the strict guidelines, but rather being deliberate and consistent in your spiritual life. Take the time to discover a prayer practice that you enjoy and set it as a priority within your everyday life.
