Begin by talking to God and asking for his help while you read and pray.

Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on the passage. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to enjoy God’s presence.

The key is that you make this a consistent element of your day-to-day routine. And if you miss one or two days do not fret! Get back on track for the next day.

Another way to increase your prayer practice is to enhance it by making it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way.
