Begin by approaching God to ask for his blessing while you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and reflect on it for a while. This can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to make.

Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Pray for your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.

The beauty of the prayer time routine is that it can be adapted to meet your requirements. Many people might only have some minutes, while others may be able to devote a whole time or even more. The key is to make it a consistent part of your routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days, don’t sweat it! Get back on track for the next day.

Another way to enhance your prayer practice is to create a more interactive. Instead of simply reciting phrases, try engaging with God in a deeper way. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating different types of prayer into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the best methods to keep yourself motivated and on track with your prayer practice is by sharing it with others. Find a partner in accountability, a family member or friend member who will check in with you and help you to adhere to your schedule. They could even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.
