Once you’ve identified the ideal time to pray then you can begin to establish a routine. Here’s an example of a daily pattern for morning prayer:

Begin by approaching God, ask for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on it. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to claim.

Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.

The best thing about a prayer routine is that it’s customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have some minutes while others might have an hour or more. The trick is that you make this a consistent element of your day-to-day routine. And if you miss one or two days do not fret! Get back on track the next day.

An everyday prayer practice is a wonderful way to start your new year off with a fresh feeling of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s an effective way to start your day, putting your focus upon the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned in accordance with His plan.

Another way to increase your prayer practice is to create a more engaging. Instead of reciting the words, you should try to connect with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their shoes. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating different types of prayer into your routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective ways to stay motivated and on track with your prayer practice is by sharing your practice with other people. Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will check on you regularly and help you to stick to your routine. They may even be a part of your prayer and share their own experiences.

Remember, the goal of a daily prayer practice is to increase your connection with God and align your thoughts and actions to His plan.
