The most challenging aspect of praying is making it a constant part of our daily lives. With a time and planning you can develop your own prayer routine that is suitable with your lifestyle and schedule. And the most appealing part is that you get to customize it to match your own personality and religious tradition.

Life is hectic and it’s easy for prayer to slide off the list of priorities. However, just like everything other thing worth having, it requires dedication and discipline. This is where the creation of a prayer routine comes in. It gives an order and accountability to make sure we are in contact with God on a regularly.

So, how do you start? It’s the first thing to do is determine the time of day that is most conducive to you to pray. Some people like to start their day by praying, and others prefer to pray at night before going to bed. Try it out and discover what works for you.

Once you’ve determined the best time for prayer You can begin to establish a routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayer:

Begin by addressing God and asking for his help while you read and pray.

Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to be in God’s presence.

The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it’s customizable to fit your needs. For some, you may have only just a few minutes while others might have a half an hours or longer. The key is that you make this a constant element of your day-to-day routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days do not fret! Get back on track for the next day.

An everyday prayer practice is a great way to start your new year off with a fresh belief in the purpose of your life and a feeling of connection to the divine. It’s a powerful method to begin your day by placing your attention upon the Lord and aligning your thoughts and actions in accordance with His plan.

Another way to increase your prayer time is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described within the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters, and put yourself in their position. This can make your time in prayer more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating various forms in your prayer routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even journaling your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective ways to remain motivated and on track with your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with other people. Find an accountability partner either a close friend or family member who can check in with you and encourage you to stick to your routine. They may even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.

Remember, the goal of daily prayer is to deepen your relationship with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line to His plan. It’s not about perfectionism or adhering to the strict rules, it’s about being deliberate and consistent in your daily spiritual practice. Therefore, make the effort to create a routine of prayer that is a good fit for you and make it a priority within your everyday life. You’ll be amazed by the impact it has in your spiritual growth and overall well-being.
