Begin by approaching God, ask for his blessing while you read and pray.

Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it for a while. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or listing everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to obey or promises to claim.

Your prayer should be structured by offering adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to enjoy God’s presence.
