Begin by addressing God to ask for his help as you read and meditate.
Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading it three or four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself or the examples you can follow, instructions to obey , or promises to make.
Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries, and take time to be in God’s presence.
