Begin by approaching God to ask for his presence as you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, guidelines to follow or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.
