Begin by addressing God, ask for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading it three or four times or by listing the things it says about yourself, or the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to claim.

Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

Find a partner in accountability, a friend or family member who can check in with you and encourage you to adhere to your routine. They can even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
