This is where the creation of a prayer routine comes in. It helps us establish a an order and accountability to ensure we’re connected to God on a an ongoing basis.

So, how do you begin? The first step is to decide the time of day that works best for you to pray. Some people prefer to start their day by praying, while others prefer to pray before going to bed. Experiment and see what works for you.

Once you’ve identified the ideal time to pray then you can begin to establish a routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for prayer in the morning:

Begin by talking to God to ask for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself or guidelines to follow or promises to keep.

Make your prayer a ritual by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

The great thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to fit your needs. For some, you may have only a few minutes to spare while others might have a half an hours or longer. The trick is making it a regular element of your day-to-day routine. If you fall off a day or two, don’t sweat it! Just get back on track the next day.

A daily prayer practice is a wonderful way to start this new year feeling a fresh sense of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s a powerful way to start your day, placing your attention to the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned with His will.

Another way to increase your prayer routine is to create a more engaging. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.

Try incorporating different forms prayers into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective methods to keep yourself engaged and focused on your prayer practice is by sharing the practice with other people. Find a partner in accountability, a family member or friend member who will check on you regularly and help you to adhere to your schedule. They may even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.

Remember, the goal of a regular prayer routine is to strengthen your relationship with God and make sure that your thoughts and actions are aligned in accordance with His plans. It’s not about achieving perfection or following an unwritten set of guidelines, but rather being deliberate and consistent in your daily spiritual practice. Therefore, make the effort to find a prayer routine that you enjoy and make it a priority in your daily life.
