Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, or guidelines to follow or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your immediate needs and worries, and take time to be in God’s presence.

Find an accountability partner either a close friend or family member who will be checking in with you and help you to stick to your daily routine. They may even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
