Begin by approaching God, ask for his help as you read and meditate.
Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times or by listing the things it says about yourself, or examples to follow, commands to follow or promises to make.
Make your prayer a ritual by offering adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Pray for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The beauty of a prayer routine is that it is customizable to suit your needs. For some, you may have only just a few minutes while others might be able to devote a whole time or even more. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.
It is also possible to incorporate different types prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide variety to your spiritual routine.

Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who can check on you regularly and help you to adhere to your schedule. They could even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.
