Once you’ve identified the ideal time to pray then you can begin to establish a routine. Here’s an example of a daily pattern for morning prayer:
Begin by addressing God and asking for his blessing as you read and meditate.
Go through a section of the Bible and reflect on it for a while. This can be done by reading it three or four times, or listing the things it says about yourself or examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.
Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to enjoy God’s presence.
The great thing about praying is that it can be adapted to fit your needs. For some, you may have only just a few minutes, while others may have an hours or longer. The trick is to make it a consistent part of your routine. And if you miss a day or two Don’t be concerned! You can get back on track for the next day.
An everyday prayer practice is a wonderful opportunity to begin the new year with a fresh belief in the purpose of your life and a connection with the divine. It’s a powerful method to begin your day by placing your attention upon the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned in accordance with His plan.
Another way to increase your prayer routine is to enhance it by making it more interactive. Instead of simply reciting phrases, try engaging with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described by the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters, and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.
Try incorporating different types prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who can check on you regularly and help you to keep to your routine. They can even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
