Begin by approaching God to ask for his presence as you read and meditate.
Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, or examples to follow, commands to obey or promises to make.
Make your prayer a ritual by offering adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. For some, you may have only just a few minutes, while others may have a half an time or even more. Another way to enhance your prayer routine is to make it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God at a deeper level. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character, and put yourself in their shoes. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.
It is also possible to incorporate different forms in your prayer routine. For example, try a silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will check on you regularly and help you to adhere to your schedule. They can even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.
