Begin by talking to God, ask for his blessing as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be accomplished by reading it three or four times or by listing the things it says about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey or promises to make.

Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

Another way to increase your prayer practice is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of reciting the words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating different types prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who will be checking in with you and help you to adhere to your schedule. They may even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.

The goal of a daily prayer practice is to increase your connection with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line to His plan.
