It’s true that life is hectic and it’s easy to let prayers slide off the list of priorities. But just like anything other thing worth having, it takes effort and discipline. That’s where developing an effective prayer schedule comes in. It gives an order and accountability to ensure we’re in contact with God on a a regular basis.

So, how do you begin? It’s the first thing to do is determine what time of day is the most suitable time to pray. Some people like to start their day with prayer, and others prefer to pray at night before bed. Test and see what works best for you.

Once you’ve determined the best time for prayer You can begin building your daily routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayer:

Begin by approaching God to ask for his help as you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be done by reading it three to four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey or promises to claim.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your immediate needs and worries, and take time to enjoy God’s presence.

The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have just a few minutes, while others may be able to devote a whole time or even more. The key is making it a regular element of your day-to-day routine. And if you miss a day or two do not fret! Just get back on track for the next day.

An everyday prayer practice is a wonderful method to begin your new year off with a fresh sense of purpose and connection with the divine. It’s a powerful way to begin your day by putting your focus to the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned to His plans.

Another way to increase your prayer practice is to make it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting words, you should try to connect with God on a deeper level. Use your imagination and try to picture the scenes described by the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and put yourself in their shoes. This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating different forms prayers into your day-to-day routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective ways to stay engaged and focused on your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with other people. Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will check in with you and help you to adhere to your schedule. They can even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.

Remember, the goal of a daily prayer practice is to strengthen your relationship with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line in accordance with His plans. It’s not about achieving perfection or adhering to an unwritten set of guidelines, but rather being intentional and consistent in your life of faith. So, take the time to create a routine of prayer that you enjoy and set it as a priority within your everyday life.
