Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading it three or four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, or the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to keep.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
