Begin by approaching God, ask for his help as you read and pray.

Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading the passage three to four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to follow or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to be in God’s presence.
