Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on it. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to keep.
Make your prayer a ritual by offering adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

Another method to improve your prayer practice is to make it more engaging. Instead of reciting the phrases, try engaging with God in a deeper way. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.

They can even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
