Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, or examples to follow, commands to follow or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to enjoy God’s presence.

This can make your time in prayer more meaningful and personal.

It is also possible to incorporate different types in your prayer routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the best ways to stay engaged and focused on your daily prayers is sharing it with others. Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who can check on you regularly and help you to adhere to your routine. They may even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.
