Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading it three or four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to be in God’s presence.

Use your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.

It is also possible to incorporate different types of prayer into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even journaling your prayers. This will prevent your prayer routine from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective methods to keep yourself focused and in line with your daily prayer routine is sharing it with other people. Find a partner in accountability, a friend or family member who will be checking in with you and encourage you to keep to your schedule. They could even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.
