Begin by talking to God and asking for his presence while you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading the passage three to four times, or listing everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to obey , or promises to keep.

Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Pray for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

The beauty of the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have just a few minutes, while others may have an time or even more. Another way to increase your prayer practice is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting words, try to engage with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described within the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.

You can also try incorporating various forms prayers into your day-to-day routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the best ways to remain focused and in line with your daily prayers is sharing your practice with others. Find a partner in accountability, a family member or friend member who can check in with you and encourage you to adhere to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.

The goal of a regular prayer routine is to strengthen your relationship with God and align your thoughts and actions in accordance with His plans. It’s not about perfection or adhering to an unwritten set of guidelines, but rather being intentional and consistent in your life of faith.
