Begin by addressing God and asking for his help while you read and pray.
Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on the passage. This can be accomplished by reading the passage three to four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to obey , or promises to make.
Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to enjoy God’s presence.
The beauty of the prayer time routine is that it can be adapted to meet your requirements. Many people might only have a few minutes to spare, while others may have a half an time or even more. The trick is to make it a constant element of your day-to-day routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days, don’t sweat it! Get back on track for the next day.
An everyday prayer practice is a wonderful opportunity to begin your new year off with a renewed belief in the purpose of your life and a spiritual connection with God. It’s a powerful method to begin your day by putting your focus upon the Lord and aligning your thoughts and actions to His plans.

Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described within the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and place yourself in their position. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.
It is also possible to incorporate different forms prayers into your day-to-day routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer routine from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.
One of the most effective ways to stay focused and in line with your prayer practice is by sharing your practice with others. Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will be checking in with you and encourage you to stick to your routine. They could even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.
The goal of daily prayer is to increase your connection with God and align your thoughts and actions to His plan.
