Begin by addressing God to ask for his help as you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times or by listing anything it tells you about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to keep.

Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to be in God’s presence.

The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. For some, you may have only some minutes while others might have a half an hour or more. Another way to enhance your prayer routine is to make it more interactive. Instead of reciting the words, try to engage with God at a deeper level. Use your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and place yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating various forms in your prayer daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the best methods to keep yourself focused and in line with your daily prayer routine is sharing the practice with others. Find a accountability partner, a family member or friend member who can check in with you and help you to adhere to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
