Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or listing anything it tells you about yourself, guidelines to obey , or promises to keep.

Your prayer should be structured by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to be in God’s presence.

Use your imagination and try to picture the scenes described within the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This can make your time in prayer more meaningful and personal.

You can also try incorporating different forms prayers into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

Find an accountability partner either a close friend or family member who can check in with you and encourage you to keep to your routine. They could even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
