Begin by addressing God and asking for his blessing as you read and pray.
Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, or guidelines to obey or promises to keep.
Your prayer should be structured by offering adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries and then take time to be in God’s presence.
The beauty of a prayer routine is that it can be adapted to suit your needs. For some, you may have only some minutes, while others may have a half an hours or longer. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described within the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. You can also try incorporating various forms in your prayer routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer routine from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
