Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on the passage. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to make.

Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

The beauty of praying is that it can be adapted to suit your needs. Some people may only have a few minutes to spare and others could have an time or even more. Another method to improve your prayer practice is to make it more interactive. Instead of reciting the words, try to engage with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to visualize the scenes in the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters, and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.

Try incorporating different types prayers into your daily routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide variety to your spiritual routine.

They could even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.

The goal of a daily prayer practice is to deepen your relationship with God and make sure that your thoughts and actions are aligned to His plan.
