Begin by approaching God, ask for his help as you read and pray.
Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on it. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, guidelines to obey , or promises to keep.
Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.
The beauty of praying is that it’s customizable to meet your requirements. Some people may only have some minutes while others might be able to devote a whole hour or more. The key is making it a consistent part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two, don’t sweat it! Get back on track for the next day.

Another way to increase your prayer routine is to make it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God at a deeper level. Use your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described within the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and place yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.
Try incorporating different types prayers into your routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the best methods to keep yourself engaged and focused on your prayer practice is by sharing the practice with other people. Find a partner in accountability, a family member or friend member who can check on you regularly and help you to keep to your daily routine. They can even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
