Begin by approaching God and asking for his blessing while you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and reflect on the passage. It can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, or the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to keep.

Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
