After you’ve decided on the most appropriate time for prayer You can begin to establish a routine. Here’s an illustration of a typical daily routine for morning prayer:
Begin by talking to God and asking for his blessing while you read and pray.
Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on it. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times or by listing the things it says about yourself or the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns, and take time to enjoy God’s presence.
The great thing about the prayer time routine is that it can be adapted to suit your needs. For some, you may have only a few minutes to spare and others could have a half an hour or more. The trick is that you make this a regular part of your routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two Don’t be concerned! Get back on track the following day.

Find a accountability partner either a close friend or family member who will check in with you and encourage you to stick to your routine. They may even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
