Begin by talking to God and asking for his blessing while you read and pray.
Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on it. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, or the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to make.
Make your prayer a ritual by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your immediate needs and worries, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
The great thing about praying is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. For some, you may have only a few minutes to spare while others might have an hour or more.
