Begin by talking to God, ask for his help as you read and pray.

Read a passage from the Bible and meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself or the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to claim.

Make your prayer a ritual by making confession, adoration, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries and then take time to sit in the presence of God.
