Begin by addressing God to ask for his presence as you read and meditate.
Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or listing the things it says about yourself or the examples you can follow, instructions to follow or promises to keep.
Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
The beauty of praying is that it can be adapted to suit your needs. Some people may only have just a few minutes and others could be able to devote a whole hour or more. It’s important making it a regular part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through one or two days Don’t be concerned! You can get back on track the following day.

Another way to enhance your prayer practice is to make it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God in a deeper way. Use your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described within the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their position. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.
You can also try incorporating different types prayers into your routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming repetitive and provide the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who can check in with you and help you to adhere to your routine. They can even be a part of your prayer and share their own experiences.
Remember, the goal of a daily prayer practice is to deepen your relationship with God and make sure that your thoughts and actions are aligned with His will.
