Begin by addressing God to ask for his presence as you read and pray.
Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on the passage. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, or guidelines to obey or promises to make.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it can be adapted to meet your requirements. Some people may only have some minutes and others could have an time or even more. The key is that you make this a consistent part of your routine. If you fall off one or two days do not fret! Just get back on track for the next day.

Another method to improve your prayer practice is to enhance it by making it more interactive. Instead of simply reciting phrases, try engaging with God at a deeper level. Try using your imagination to imagine the scenes that are described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.
It is also possible to incorporate different forms in your prayer day-to-day routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing your prayers. This will prevent your prayer routine from becoming monotonous and add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the most effective ways to stay focused and in line with your daily prayer routine is sharing the practice with other people. Find a partner in accountability, a friend or family member who will be checking in with you and encourage you to stick to your schedule. They can even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.
Remember, the goal of daily prayer is to strengthen your relationship with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line to His plan. It’s not about perfection or following the strict rules, it’s about being consistent and deliberate in your daily spiritual practice.
