Begin by approaching God to ask for his presence as you read and pray.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.

Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your immediate needs and worries, and take time to sit in the presence of God.

The great thing about praying is that it’s customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have some minutes while others might have an hours or longer. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating different forms prayers into your routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the best methods to keep yourself engaged and focused on your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with others. Find a partner in accountability either a close friend or family member who can check in with you and help you to adhere to your daily routine. They can even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
