Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on it. It can be done by reading it three or four times or by listing everything it reveals about yourself or the examples you can follow, instructions to obey or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to sit in the presence of God.

This will make your prayer time more meaningful and personal.
It is also possible to incorporate different types prayers into your routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add variety to your spiritual routine.
