Begin by addressing God to ask for his help while you read and pray.
Take a chapter from the Bible and then meditate on it. This can be done by reading it three or four times, or listing the things it says about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to obey , or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to be in God’s presence.
The great thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. For some, you may have only a few minutes to spare, while others may have a half an hours or longer. The trick is making it a constant part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two do not fret! Just get back on track the following day.
An everyday prayer practice is a great opportunity to begin the new year with a fresh sense of purpose and spiritual connection with God. It’s a powerful way to start your day, placing your attention on the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned with His will.
Another way to increase your prayer routine is to make it more engaging. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God in a deeper way. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described in the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters, and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.
You can also try incorporating different types of prayer into your day-to-day routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even journaling your prayers. This can keep your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the most effective ways to stay focused and in line with your daily prayers is sharing the practice with other people. Find a partner in accountability, a family member or friend member who will be checking in with you and help you to adhere to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
