Begin by addressing God, ask for his presence while you read and pray.
Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, the examples you can follow, instructions to obey , or promises to claim.
Make your prayer a ritual by offering adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
The beauty of a prayer routine is that it can be adapted to fit your needs. Some people may only have some minutes while others might have a half an hour or more.
