Begin by talking to God to ask for his help as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and reflect on it for a while. It can be done by reading the passage three to four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself, or guidelines to follow or promises to make.

Your prayer should be structured by offering adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to enjoy God’s presence.
