Life can be busy and it’s easy to let prayers slip down on the list of priorities. Like everything else that’s worth having, it takes dedication and discipline. This is where establishing an effective prayer schedule comes in. It gives the structure and accountability needed to make sure we are connected to God on a regularly.

The practice of daily prayer is an excellent method to begin this new year feeling a fresh belief in the purpose of your life and a connection with the divine. It’s a powerful method to start your day, placing your attention upon the Lord and aligning your thoughts and actions with His will.
Another way to enhance your prayer time is to make it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, try to engage with God at a deeper level. Make use of your imagination and try to picture the scenes described in the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This can make your time in prayer more meaningful and personal.
You can also try incorporating various forms prayers into your daily routine. For example, try a silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer routine from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.
One of the most effective ways to remain engaged and focused on your daily prayer routine is sharing it with other people. Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who can check in with you and help you to keep to your daily routine. They could even be a part of your prayers and share their own experiences.
