Begin by talking to God to ask for his presence as you read and meditate.
Read a passage from the Bible and reflect on the passage. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself, guidelines to follow or promises to keep.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Make a prayer for your immediate needs and worries as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The best thing about a prayer routine is that it is customizable to suit your needs. For some, you may have only some minutes, while others may have an hours or longer. A daily prayer practice is a great way to start the new year with a fresh feeling of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s a powerful way to begin your day by keeping your eyes upon the Lord and aligning your thoughts and actions to His plans.
Another way to enhance your prayer routine is to create a more interactive. Instead of just reciting phrases, try engaging with God on a deeper level. Make use of your imagination and try to imagine the scenes that are described by the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and put yourself in their shoes. This makes your time of prayer more meaningful and personal.
You can also try incorporating different types prayers into your day-to-day routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add variety to your spiritual routine.

Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who will be checking on you regularly and help you to adhere to your schedule. They could even join you in prayer and share their personal experiences.
Remember, the goal of a regular prayer routine is to increase your connection with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line with His will.
