Begin by approaching God to ask for his blessing while you read and pray.
Read a passage from the Bible and reflect on it. This can be done by reading it three to four times, or writing down anything it tells you about yourself, examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by making confession, adoration as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your needs and pressing concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The great thing about praying is that it can be adapted to fit your needs. For some, you may have only a few minutes to spare, while others may have an hours or longer. The trick is to make it a constant part of your daily routine. If you don’t make it through the occasional day or two Don’t be concerned! You can get back on track for the next day.
A daily prayer practice is a wonderful way to start your new year off with a new feeling of purpose and spiritual connection with God. It’s an effective way to begin your day by putting your focus to the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned with His will.
Another way to enhance your prayer practice is to make it more engaging. Instead of reciting the words, you should try to connect with God on a deeper level. Try using your imagination to visualize the scenes in the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character, and put yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.
You can also try incorporating different forms prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

Find a partner in accountability, a friend or family member who will check in with you and encourage you to stick to your schedule. They can even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.
Remember, the goal of a regular prayer routine is to strengthen your relationship with God and align your thoughts and actions to His plan.
