The most challenging part of praying is to make it a regular element of our daily life. But with a little bit of planning and effort you can develop your own prayer routine that is suitable with your lifestyle and schedule. And the most appealing part is that you can customize it to fit your personality and your spiritual beliefs.

Let’s be real, life can be busy and it’s easy to let prayer slide off the list of priorities. Like everything else worth being a part of, it requires commitment and discipline. This is where establishing a prayer routine comes in. It gives structure and accountability to make sure we are connected to God on a a regular basis.

So, how do you start? First, you must determine what time of day is the most suitable time to pray. Some people like to start their day by praying, while others prefer to pray in the evening before going to getting to bed. Test and see what works for you.

Once you’ve identified the ideal time for prayer You can begin building your daily routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayer:

Begin by addressing God, ask for his help as you read and pray.

Go through a section of the Bible and then meditate on it for a while. This can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself or examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to claim.

Your prayer should be structured by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Make a prayer for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.

The great thing about the prayer time routine is that it can be adapted to fit your needs. For some, you may have only just a few minutes, while others may be able to devote a whole time or even more. It’s important making it a consistent part of your daily routine. If you fall off a day or two, don’t sweat it! Get back on track for the next day.

An everyday prayer practice is a great way to start your new year off with a fresh feeling of purpose and spiritual connection with God. It’s a powerful way to start your day, placing your attention on the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned to His plans.

Another method to improve your prayer routine is to enhance it by making it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. Use your imagination and try to visualize the scenes in the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and place yourself in their position. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating various forms in your prayer routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even journaling your prayers. This will keep your prayer practice from becoming boring and will add some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the most effective methods to keep yourself motivated and on track with your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with other people. Find an accountability partner, a friend or family member who can check in with you and encourage you to adhere to your daily routine. They can even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.

Rememberthat the purpose of a daily prayer practice is to deepen your relationship with God and make sure that your thoughts and actions are aligned with His will. It’s not about achieving perfection or following a strict set of guidelines, but rather being consistent and deliberate in your spiritual life. Take the time to create a routine of prayer that works for you and set it as a priority in your day-to-day life. You’ll be amazed by how much difference it makes on your spiritual growth as well as overall wellbeing.
