It’s true that life can be hectic and it’s easy to let prayers slide off the list of priorities. Like everything else that’s worth having, it takes dedication and discipline. This is where establishing an effective prayer schedule comes in. It gives the structure and accountability needed to make sure we are in contact with God on a regularly.

So, how do you begin? The first step is to figure out the time of day that is the most suitable time to pray. Some people prefer to start their day with prayer, and others prefer to pray at night before getting to bed. Experiment and see which method works best for you.

After you’ve decided on the most appropriate time to pray You can begin building your daily routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayer:

Begin by talking to God, ask for his presence as you read and meditate.

Take a chapter from the Bible and meditate on it for a while. This can be accomplished by reading it three to four times, or listing everything it reveals about yourself or examples to follow, commands to obey or promises to keep.

Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your urgent needs and concerns and then take time to be in God’s presence.

The best thing about the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. Many people might only have some minutes while others might have an hour or more. It’s important that you make this a consistent part of your daily routine. And if you miss one or two days do not fret! Just get back on track for the next day.

The practice of daily prayer is a great opportunity to begin the new year with a new feeling of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s an effective way to start your day, keeping your eyes on the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned in accordance with His plan.

Another way to increase your prayer practice is to make it more interactive. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. Try using your imagination to picture the scenes described within the Bible. You can try to imagine the feelings of these characters and put yourself in their position. This will make your prayer time more personal and meaningful.

Try incorporating various forms of prayer into your day-to-day routine. For example, try silent prayer, contemplative prayer, or even writing your prayers. This can keep your prayer practice from becoming monotonous and add the variety you need to your spiritual practice.

One of the most effective ways to remain engaged and focused on your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with other people. Find an accountability partner, a family member or friend member who will check in with you and help you to stick to your schedule. They may even join you in prayer and share their own experiences.

The goal of a daily prayer practice is to increase your connection with God and ensure that your actions and thoughts are in line with His will.
