How do you get started? It’s the first thing to do is determine which time of the day is most conducive to you to pray. Some prefer to begin their day by praying, while others prefer to pray at night before going to bed. Test and see what works for you.
After you’ve decided on the most appropriate time for prayer You can begin building your daily routine. Here’s an example of a pattern that you can follow daily for morning prayers:
Begin by addressing God, ask for his presence as you read and meditate.
Read a passage from the Bible and then meditate on it. This can be done by reading it three or four times or by listing the things it says about yourself, or examples to follow, commands to obey , or promises to make.
Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession prayer, thanksgiving, and petition. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns, and take time to sit in the presence of God.
The great thing about a prayer routine is that it can be adapted to fit your needs. Some people may only have some minutes while others might have an hour or more. The key is that you make this a constant part of your routine. And if you miss one or two days do not fret! Just get back on track the following day.
The practice of daily prayer is a wonderful opportunity to begin the new year with a fresh feeling of purpose and feeling of connection to the divine. It’s a powerful method to begin your day by putting your focus on the Lord and making sure that your actions and thoughts are aligned to His plans.
Another method to improve your prayer time is to create a more engaging. Instead of just reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. Use your imagination and try to visualize the scenes in the Bible. Try to feel the emotions of the characters and put yourself in their position. This makes your time of prayer more personal and meaningful.
Try incorporating different types of prayer into your routine. For example, try a silent prayers, contemplative prayers, or even writing down your prayers. This can keep your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide variety to your spiritual routine.

Find an accountability partner either a close friend or family member who will be checking on you regularly and help you to stick to your schedule. They may even join you in prayers and share their own experiences.
Remember, the goal of a daily prayer practice is to strengthen your relationship with God and align your thoughts and actions in accordance with His plans.
