Begin by addressing God, ask for his presence as you read and meditate.
Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on the passage. This can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down everything it reveals about yourself or guidelines to obey or promises to claim.
Structure your prayer by offering adoration, confession as well as petition and thanksgiving. Pray for your urgent needs and concerns as well as taking time to sit in the presence of God.
The beauty of praying is that it is customizable to suit your needs. Some people may only have a few minutes to spare, while others may have a half an hour or more.
