Begin by talking to God to ask for his presence as you read and meditate.

Go through a section of the Bible and meditate on the passage. It can be done by reading it three or four times, or writing down the things it says about yourself or guidelines to obey or promises to make.

Structure your prayer by praying for adoration, confession, petition, and thanksgiving. Prayerfully address your needs and pressing concerns and then take time to be in God’s presence.

The beauty of the prayer time routine is that it is customizable to meet your requirements. Many people might only have just a few minutes, while others may have an hour or more. The trick is making it a consistent part of your routine. And if you miss one or two days do not fret! Get back on track the following day.

Another way to increase your prayer time is to enhance it by making it more engaging. Instead of simply reciting words, you should try to connect with God in a deeper way. Make use of your imagination and try to visualize the scenes in the Bible. Make an effort to experience the emotion of each character and place yourself in their the shoes of their characters. This can make your time in prayer more personal and meaningful.

You can also try incorporating different types prayers into your daily routine. For instance, you can try silent prayer, contemplative prayer or even writing down your prayers. This will prevent your prayer routine from becoming repetitive and provide some variety to your daily spiritual routine.

One of the best ways to stay focused and in line with your daily prayer routine is sharing your practice with other people. Find a accountability partner, a friend or family member who will be checking in with you and help you to adhere to your schedule. They can even be a part of your prayer and share their personal experiences.
